The following policies and guidelines apply to any guest, registered
user, or therapeutic member of SurvivorForum.com and/or AbuseConsultants.com.
Please read through the policies and guidelines carefully. Agreement
and cooperation with these policies and guidelines are required
for participation in SurvivorForum.com. If you have any questions
or concerns, please attend to those prior to registering in SurvivorForum.com.
1. Respect the Safety of Yourself and Others
- If you are acutely suicidal or dangerously self
injurious, it is imperative that these issues be addressed immediately
in individual sessions with Kathy Broady, with your own therapist
or doctor, with established crisis hotlines, hospitals, or 911
Emergency Services. Acute and life-threatening safety issues
are not appropriate for the SurvivorForum.
- Do not pressure or trigger other survivors into
being your life support. If your safety is at high risk, you
must seek professional help immediately. Other survivors are
NOT responsible for your safety.
- The topics of chronic suicidal feelings and struggles
with self harm may be discussed in a therapeutic manner on the
SurvivorForum. Please be sure that you are stable enough emotionally
to handle these discussions without being triggered into high
risk, unsafe behavior.
- Refusal to follow these guidelines may lead to the
loss of your membership privileges.
- Clinical consultations and individual therapy sessions
are available via AbuseConsultants.com. If you are not stable
enough to participate in the SurvivorForum, please get individual
help first.
2. No Profanity or Abusive Language
- Please keep this forum safe and tasteful for all
that read it. It is ok to speak your mind and express your feelings,
however, any unacceptable language will be edited and/or deleted
at the moderators’ discretion.
- The use of spoilers and triggers warnings are highly
appreciated.
- Obscene and/or triggering words will be automatically
edited by forum censorship controls and will not post onto the
forum. As deemed necessary by the forum administrators, new
words will be added to the censorship list without further explanation.
- Verbal abuse or emotional attacks onto other group
members will not be tolerated and can lead to a loss of membership
privileges.
- Explicitly sexual, violent, or racial language will
not be tolerated.
- Refusal to follow these guidelines may lead to the
loss of your membership privileges.
3. Communication and Cooperation are Essential
- Please speak kindly and respectfully towards all
other group members, and forum moderators.
- Should any type of conflict, disagreement, quarrel
or argument arise between group members, this issue must be
addressed directly with Kathy Broady in a format separate from
the forum. This may involve individual sessions or group chats.
A consultation fee may be required.
- Failure to peacefully resolve these issues could
result in the loss of your membership privileges.
4. Respect the Leadership
- The moderators of the SurvivorForum are each wonderful
people. They have been given a leadership role specifically
upon the request and invitation of Kathy Broady. Please appreciate
their efforts, and follow their guidance and instruction. The
moderators are there to help – not to be attacked or hassled
or pressured.
- Should any situation arise where the moderators
feel stretched beyond their comfort zone, they will refer it
immediately to Kathy Broady. This could result in the need for
individual sessions or group chats with Kathy Broady. A consultation
fee may be required.
- Being inappropriately disrespectful or nasty towards
any of the moderators can lead to the immediate loss of your
membership privileges.
- Failure to address or peacefully resolve any conflict
with the moderators could result in the loss of your membership
privileges.
- Any legitimate complaints or concerns about the
moderators must also be addressed directly with Kathy Broady
in a setting outside of the public forum. Be respectful of the
privacy required by the moderators.
- Please remember that Kathy Broady has had a long-standing,
trustworthy relationship with each of the moderators, deeming
each of them trustworthy in her eyes. Kathy Broady is highly
respectful of each of these moderators, and will most likely
stand firmly behind them and their decisions.
- However, should any moderator need some correction
or guidance, this will be done privately and respectfully, and
will not be allowed to become a public group feeding frenzy.
- Ultimately all decisions regarding the SurvivorForum
are the responsibility of Kathy Broady, the licensed professional
therapist, and Clinical Director of AbuseConsultants.com.
